*This is an IDS course and you must have 45 credits to get credit for the course; however, we welcome those who are not quite ready to take the IDS class and who are interest in auditing the class. (An audit means that you register for the class as a non-credit seeking student. You will not receive credit for this class if you audit it.)

Program Description

This is an exciting opportunity for Summer 2017! This two-week study will focus on the history, arts, and culture of the Brazilian. Through a series of lectures, guided tours, and workshops, students will learn about the meaning of diversity and its challenges in Brazilian society. They will discover how the heritage of both European and African cultures engage to produce a community with a distinct voice of racial awareness.

1.) Friday, April 21, 2017 2-4pm at Dale Mabry
2.) Thursday, May 4. 2017 4-6pm
3.) Wednesday, May 17, 2017 5-7pm

Re-entry Meeting Date:
